• Boundary is a premix of s-metolachlor (Dual II Magnum) plus metribuzin (Sencor) for annual grass and broadleaf control in soybeans. Weeds controlled include most annual grasses, lambsquarters, pigweeds, waterhemp, black nightshade, Pennsylvania smartweed, and yellow nutsedge. • If applied at reduced rates, Boundary should be followed by a postemergence herbicide treatment for season-long control.
• Mode of action: photosynthesis inhibitor (metribuzin), shoot meristem inhibitor (s=metolachlor).
• Can be applied up to 30 days before planting. Preplant applications can provide limited burndown of small annual weeds when applied with 2,4-D ester and crop oil concentrate.
• Can be applied at reduced rates when followed with a planned postemergence herbicide program.
