- Axiom is a premix of flufenacet plus metribuzin (Sencor) for preplant and preemergence control of annual grasses, and
early-season suppression of lambsquarters, pigweed, waterhemp, common ragweed, and smartweed. Rates labeled for use
in soybeans are generally too low to provide season-long control of annual grasses.
- Mode of action: shoot meristem inhibitor (thiafluamide), photosynthesis inhibitor (metribuzin).
- May be applied up to 30 days before planting as a single application. When applying 30 to 45 days before planting, apply
2/3 full rate early, followed by 1/3 full rate at planting. Rates increase somewhat when applied early, compared to application
at planting.
