Summary

Performance by lactating cows fed the two sources of calcium soaps was similar. Factors that should be considered when deciding on the use of such fat supplements include concentration of natural fats in the diet, desired concentration of total fat in the diet, cost of fat supplements, consistency of the products, and reliability of the supplier of the products.
