College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental SciencesThe Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences is the only comprehensive organization in Ohio that provides instruction, research and Extension programs in food, agricultural and environmental sciences. It is internationally recognized for delivering quality education, preparing successful graduates, making relevant discoveries and responding to the needs of its customers. The college's components are: Ohio State University ExtensionWith a presence in every county, OSU Extension brings information from the university and college out to the people of Ohio to better their lives, communities and businesses. Extension agents provide educational programming for adults and children on everything from Agriculture and Natural Resources to Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H and Youth Development, and Community Development. OARDC scientists are located in Wooster, Columbus and Piketon, and also conduct research at 11 outlying branches. OARDC is the only organization, public or private, responsible for all aspects of agriculturally related research in Ohio. Academic AffairsThe college's academic programs provide a wide range of majors in food science, agriculture, natural resources and more, for graduate and undergraduate students. Ohio State ATIThe Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster is an associate degree-granting program within the college. Students participate in a curriculum that includes general and basic studies, hands-on experience and a paid industry internship. Ohio State ATI is the largest institution of its kind in the United States, enrolling more than 1,000 students and offering 26 programs of study.
