MYM-3-03

Action Steps for Lesson 4

Action Steps Ö Take Action Now
Check each step after you have completed it.
  • If you don’t have credit and would like to start your credit history, apply for a credit card in your name.
  • If you already have credit, send for your credit file from one or all three of the major credit bureaus.
  • If you have credit cards or loans, complete the Know What You Owe form and then . . .
  • Check each of your credit accounts to see how the interest is calculated on an outstanding balance.
  • Plan a strategy for paying off your debt. Consider paying off accounts that charge the highest APR and/or accounts that calculate the interest on a two-cycle average daily balance first.
