November is Family Life Month, a time for focusing on building strong family relationships and emphasizing the importance of putting families first.

Todays's families are faced with a multitude of challenges and transitions which place great demands on their resources. Strong families systems provide support for successfully meeting these demands and for encouraging the healthy emotional and physical growth of its individual members. Never more than now has it been so important to build and sustain strong families.

Families who would like to learn more about communicating with each other, improving parenting skills, and coping with special life challenges can call their county Extension office for information. The Ohio State University Extension offers a variety of free and low-cost bulletins on family life, human nutrition, family resource management, and numerous other topics related to strengthening family relationships.
