Tree harvesting and replanting can result in Nonpoint Source Pollution of wooded areas. However, the contamination of natural drainage systems can be controlled by using the Best Management Practices as described in this bulletin. Recommendations and government regulations on planning, constructing, managing, and properly closing logging operations are detailed in this publication.
