Banks at Coleraine, Cincinnati
Planted: 1964
Site: 10' Tree Lawn
1971 Comments: The trees are small and have the typical upright spreading habit of the species. They are located in a 10-foot tree lawn adjacent to a sidewalk abutting a building. The trees will eventually be too broad for this site and will interfere with the street, sidewalks, building, and power lines. A small narrow tree would have been a better selection for this site.

1997 Comments: This particular tree has not done well in Ohio because it lacks cold-hardiness. This was the only site where Zelkova did reasonably well.
Eighty-one percent of the overall planting survived (17 of 21 trees). The 1997
data in the table are based on four trees.
