TILIA CORDATA Littleleaf Linden

505 N. Bever, Wooster

Planted: 1956

Site: 8' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments: Most of the trees in this planting are pyramidal. However, there are some variations in size and form. This is not necessarily an undesirable characteristic. There has been a problem with sooty mold resulting from infestations of aphids on the trees.

1997 Comments: These plants are in generous eight-foot wide tree lawns and are in good condition. The trees were planted under power lines, so they have had a considerable amount of utility pruning.

Eighty-three percent of the original planting survived (10 of 12 trees). The 1997 data in the table are based on four trees.
