1971 Comments: These trees are very attractive in this wide tree lawn and are in keeping with the scale of the area.

1997 Comments: The city forester said that neighbors had been given permission to take some of the trees down because of dead wood and the nuisance of the fruit. The few trees that are left all look pretty good.
Twenty-two percent of the overall planting survived (4 of 18 trees). The 1997
data in the table represents one of the five original study trees plus four
other trees in the overall planting.
