Site: Planting Areas in Sidewalk
1971 Comments: These trees are located in small downtown planting pits in the sidewalk and are growing extremely well. This is an excellent selection for a downtown area with heavy traffic and unfavorable enviromental conditions. The trees were pruned in 1970.

1997 Comments: These plants were in sidewalk cuts. The city replaced the plants in this area twice. They are currently honeylocust trees. If we gave this plant the benefit of the doubt, it would have a 20% survival rate London Planetree has not proven to be stress tolerant in Ohio urban areas contrary to the original estimates.
Twenty percent of the overall planting survived (2 of 10 trees). The 1997 data
in the table are based on two trees.
