1971 Comments: The trees are growing well and are uniform in habit. However, they will have to be limbed up to prevent interference with pedestrian and vehicular traffic even though this is a wide tree lawn. These trees have the typical formal pyramidal shape of this species when young.

1997 Comments: Storms took out most of the original trees in the planting according to residents. The remaining trees have a significant number of surface roots and some sidewalk damage.
Thirty-eight percent of the overall planting survived (6 of 16 trees). The 1997 data in the table are based on four trees.
