FRAXINUS PENNSYLVANICA 'MARSHALL SEEDLESS' Marshall's Seedless Green Ash

3912 Bellevue, Toledo

Planted: 1964

Site: 12' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments: These trees are upright, spreading in character, and appear to be a good selection for this wide tree lawn. There are no overhead lines, so height will not be a problem in the future.

1967 1968 1969 1970 1997
Height 19.2' 19.4' 21.8' 25.4' 48.3'
Caliper 2.4" 3.0" 3.7" 5.0" 19.3"
Spread 6.0' 9.4' 12.4' 13.6' 38.6'

1997 Comments: These plants are planted in 12-foot tree lawns and have a canopy providing an effective treescape. A considerable amount of pruning was done about three or four years ago and the trees are now quite V-shaped because of the pruning.

Sixty-eight percent of the overall planting survived (25 of 37 trees). The 1997 data in the table are based on three trees.
