1971 Comments: The trees vary from globular to oval in shape, but are uniform in size. Some of the original trees in this planting were killed by what appeared to be fireblight.

1997 Comments: Thirty-three percent of these plants survived in this large tree lawn. They have an irregular form and a considerable amount of dieback. Many of the trees are leaning as shown in the photo.
