1830 Deforest, Cleveland
Planted: Unknown
Site: 6' Tree Lawn
1971 Comments: This tree is formal and roundheaded. It fits well into this situation with power lines overhead on one side of the street. The tree lawn is of adequate width and the trees do not interfere with either vehicular or pedestrian traffic. Leaf scorch has been a problem in this particular area.

1997 Comments: There are power lines on both sides of the street. The scorch we noted was not a concern for the homeowners we contacted. One homeowner loves the flowers so much he collects the seeds and takes them down to his Cincinnati property. There is little sidewalk replacement in this area.
Seventy-nine percent of the overall planting survived (23 of 29 trees). The 1997 data in the table are based on four trees.
