The Enterprise Center evaluates Fresh Market tomatoes suitable for growing in southern and southwest OH.
	One of the Vegetable Team projects in fresh market tomatoes includes a comparison of Tomcast versus Skybit. TOMCAST is tomato disease prediction system using a ground based CR-10 unit to collect weather data that tells growers when to apply tomato fungicide sprays. Skybit collects information from satellites and provides the same information at a much lowers cost. This study is designed to see if Skybit is as accurate as a ground based TOMCAST unit.
	Our New Vegetable Specialist, Dr. Matt Kleinhenz was present to meet the crowd. Dr. Kleinhenz works with muck crops, sweet corn and potatoes.
